My name is Alexander Lindstrem. I was born in Moscow in the early 80s, grew up in Vienna, studied in Los Angeles, and spent many years of my adult life in Dubai. With the Scandinavian surname of my half-Swedish, half-Finnish father and the half-Korean, half-Russian features inherited from my mother, I have come to embrace a cosmopolitan lifestyle, feeling at home everywhere and nowhere.
I am fluent in English, German, and Russian, which also helped me establish a large network of models, makeup artists & fashion designers available to work with me worldwide.
Studying at the "Theatre of Arts" in Los Angeles for 4 years in the late 90s, honing skills in front of and behind the camera gives me an unfair advantage when working with models - as I have experience on both sides of the camera. Additionally, being raised by a fashion designer mother always greatly helped me to quickly discern good from bad aesthetics.
I have had the privilege of learning from esteemed photographers such as Peter Coulson, Peter Hurley, Lindsay Adler, and Karl Taylor. With the highest diploma in Lighting Masterclass from Karl Taylor, I joined the official Peter Hurley Headshot Crew and am a member of Hahnemühles President Club. To enhance my portrait photography further, I completed a professional makeup artist certification with Gianni Colores, gaining a deeper understanding of one of the most essential aspects of the process. Additionally, I hold the FAA drone pilot license and an international press pass and continues invest in my training.

My expertise spans from Canon RF full frame to Hasselblad H-series medium format cameras, for digital and analog in-house processing and development if needed for sensitive data without third parties involvement.
Specialist lighting techniques for fashion and portraiture with Broncolor Para lights, as well as fine-art black and white photography and 3D visualization and pre-rendering.
Additionally, I am familiar in videography using full-frame Ronin 4D cinema equipment. My production capabilities cover everything from scripting and concept development to location scouting, audio, lighting, editing, and color grading— enabling me to deliver smaller projects independently and cost-effectively, even on tighter budgets.
